This collection of travel stories is not included in my books. I hope you enjoy them. The first four stories relate to the beginning of my travels, starting with my trip across the United States in early March, 1993. As with most of my travels that first year, this trip turned out to be an adventure. The weather forecast called for a massive snow storm on the East Coast. But I left early enough to avoid the storm’s wrath, a few flurries they said, and the airline promised a jet from Washington D.C. into Binghamton, New York, my first destination.
